I read your two books on Baptists Are Jesus' Church this week-end and I love them.
Being raised in a Catholic school in France, I remember studying the tortures you describe that were imposed on our forefathers from the Catholic point of view. Somehow it never sounded right to me even back then that a church would use such means even and especially in the name of religion. I still just cannot comprehend how someone can use violence and torture to convert people. I remember studying in particular about people being bound by their four limbs and torn apart and asking myself how could someone be so cruel and afflict so much pain. I remember studying about people being burnt alive in barns (children and women and men together)... I remember visiting in London (England) and hearing about someone burnt just like you describe (if my memory doesn't fail me) and I must say that I am glad that all these awful things were not done by Jesus' true church and that you are setting the facts straight and giving glory to their memory. I believe Jesus taught about the law of love.
I also love all your books because they refreshed my memory on some points and give a clear picture of the New Testament church with so many references to the Bible.
